October Currently!!

It's officially the Holiday Season!!! I love that the next three months have holidays, I love celebrating with friends and family and decorating [of course].  Once again I'm linking up with Farley for her Currently. Thanks Farley!

So my "Treat" is really a tip for holiday baking. As most of you know I am gluten and dairy free and trying to bake again. There are a lot of recipes that use several different flours [tapioca, rice flour, potato, etc], but those take a lot of work. So lately I've just been using All Purpose Gluten-Free Flour. My treat is a helpful hint...it takes about 20 minutes longer to bake thoroughly regular gluten free flour. But it still tastes good!!

Happy October!!

  1. I love the holiday season!! This time of the year gets a little crazy, but it is fun (especially the decorating). I've already started wearing my boots with cute dresses enough that one of my kids asked why I didn't have them on today. Yum, I want banana bread now!

    1. I should do that...wear dresses with my boots! I sit on the tables/desks a lot though so I'll have to be careful :) Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm super excited for the cooler fall weather to arrive, but it also means I have to do some more shopping as I gave up a lot of my wintery stuff when we moved to Louisiana. I know that seems silly since I knew we weren't staying forever... I guess I was just THAT desperate for my closet space! :)

  3. Here in Canada, the cooler weather has already arrived. I had to turn the heat on last week. I have started trying to use gluten free recipes and I wondered about the baking time. Thanks for the hint. Enjoy your fall season.

  6. Hey Stephanie!
Thanks so much for commenting on my blog! I can totally relate to your "Currently" as well, boots and sweaters, roots, and gluten free! I'm not sure if they have it in the states but at Costco here in Canada they have this gluten free flour mixture called "cloud 9" - best one I've had yet!
